All the stars were more or less aligned for this year’s Adstocktoberfest. It was probably the calmest and warmest it’s been, there were no technical hitches, only due to the lack of rain and record breaking heat during the summer meant that the fruit harvest was no way near as bumper as it was last year, but we’ll definitely have enough cider to distil for the competitions next year. The upside to this was that Nick Kelly our chief cider maker was able to see much more of the music than usual.
the competition for the cider and liqueur trophies were hard fought his year, but eventually the prizes went to Jason Brogden for his hastily bottled cider and once again to Linda Holmes for her Sloe Gin.
We had 7 excellent bands playing who really gave their all for the great crowd that turned up. The styles were fantastic and varied from folk, world music, Americana, blues, country, punk to good old fashioned Rock ‘n Roll. Thank you so much to all who came and played, it’s always a real privilege to have you at Adstockistan and the festival would be nothing without your fantastic contribution.

A special word of thanks must also go to the hardest working pair at Adstocktoberfest – Simon and Ben Pickford from Rural Technologies who seamlessly managed to provide all the sound perfectly for all 7 bands, not an easy task.
For kids and adults, we will had archery, knife throwing, electronic clay shooting and as a special addition we welcomed the go carts from Karts 4 U.
Draught drinks were provided by Church Street Brewery and Rennie’s Winslow Cider and the food was by Dan Young’s Fire Food in the afternoon and Crackling Fayre in the evening with a hog roast.
Thank you also to Duncan and Becky Pullar for not only teaching Whittling, but selling their delicious honey.

We definitely surpassed the footfall of previous years and we managed to raise just shy of £5000 for Afghanaid. Once again thank you all for turning up and donationg, once again, it was a fantastic little festival in our tiny orchard.
