Without doubt, the best Adstocktoberfest so far! We raised over £5500 for Afghanaid which was later doubled due to a government campaign. There were 6 fantastic bands performing from mid afternoon until very late in the evening, we had archery, axe throwing as well as the usual apple pressing, liqueur judging etc. Everyone that came in whatever capacity, whether they were playing, instructing, cooking, scratting, stall holding, bar tending, drink judging or just drinking and dancing, helped create such a wonderful atmosphere in the now properly functioning Rural Ronnie’s.
Congratulations to Linda Holmes for winning the liqueur competition with her sloe gin and for the second time Nick Kelly won the cider up. We had a huge amount of entries this year and I intend to get the base spirit out earlier this year to give your infusions a little more time to get a fuller flavour.
Thank you so much – what a fantastic amount raised for a great charity.
