Every year, Forces Fitness Farm, run by Michael Heason try to challenge themselves in a one off event to top up the money raised at the weekly fitness sessions in the orchard. This year, for obvious reasons, this has to be done in isolation and will run continuously through May. For the whole month, members will complete a daily session of:
50 press-ups
50 sit-ups
50 squats
a 50 second plank.
The weekly sessions have raised £425 so far and we want the total to reach £1000 for the most relevant charity at the moment, NHS Together, so if you’d like to help in our endeavours please go to our Just Giving page.
For those that are interested in joining once the lockdown has been relaxed, in summer we meet in the orchard at 7.15 pm every Tuesday and when the light fades we move into one of the farm buildings. The sessions are for all abilities and professionally run by Michael, an army PTI. It is only £2 per session and 100% goes to a different charity every year.
